Happy Tuesday lovely readers!! Today you are in for the treat of this extra post before my weekly Thursday post:) Yay!!
I couldn't resist sharing some of the pictures from this weekends Spring Formal that I attended with two of my best friends (pictures above.....aren't they stunning) who are graduating this year. The Spring Formal put on every year is hosted by a local homeschool group and is practically like our Prom (though we don't really treat it as such). Now, I must admit that I am not a big fan of dances such as these, where there is loud music and people jumping up and down all night long (not really me), however, we girls honestly just love the idea of dressing up and glaming out!

Before even attending the spring formal this past weekend I had planned on posting about it on the blog today and of course when one of your sisters friends asks you if you will be writing about it on your blog than you really have to do it !!:):)
Now, like I said, practically the only reason I like the idea of these types of dances is for the excuse to dress up (who doesn't), so naturally I chose to wear vintage....why would't I !!! Originally I was planning on wearing a gorgious gray/blue princess style full skirted 60's prom dress, but alas I did not have the time to alter and redesign it before the dance (it was going to be amazing!) so I had to fall back on this dress, which really is a fave of mine:) I have always loved lace and this style of dress, so of course this gown is one of my favorites!! The lace on the bodice is made of miniature bows and flowers and the beautiful Cinderella blue makes me feel like a princess!
The first time I wore this dress I did not wear a petticoat underneath, but this time I wanted a little something extra, so on with the petticoat I went and my, oh, my was it wonderful! I started twirling and my skirt looked like the transformation scene in Cinderella....it was soooooo magical......ah, I loved it!!!
I bought this dress over a year ago at a local thrift store. I actually had been keeping my eye on it and finally bought it when the price was right (I think I only spent like $15 on the dress) so this was definitely my greatest vintage find so far!!
Okay, so enough with talking about the dress and a little with talking about the events of this past Friday! As all of you ladies know, girls like to get ready together so naturally we met at Libby's house for makeovers and hair (on the left). I am the designated hair stylist (I think I have now been recruited to do the hair of all my friends when they get married) and Asten (another one of our best friends) is in charge of doing makeup. As always it was so much fun to get ready together and we had such a fun night singing and dancing (yes, surprisingly as opposed as I am to it we danced all night long). Then when it was all over the girls came over to my house and to have a sleepover where we ate ice cream, stayed up way to late, and fell asleep while watching a movie, but had so much fun!
|Please excuse the bad quality, I took these with a phone:)|

I am beyond thankful for the amazing friends God has blessed me with!!! They are such an encouragement to me and joy to be around, not to mention that they are the most beautiful women (both inside and out).
Thanks Libby, Mori, and Asten for being the bestest friends I could wish for!!!
